Our mission is to promote a society where women of color have fair representation in the nursing field.
Executive Summary
Our goal at The Haynie-Lee Project is to create a comfortable space of mentorship for ambitious high school age young women of color interested in a career in nursing. We strive to encourage young women to take pride in knowing that every day is a new day to be the best version of themselves. It is imperative that we teach one another the importance of a village, making sure our young women are well versed in the key elements of survival and finding fulfillment. The Haynie-Lee Project aims to achieve this by not only uplifting these young women of color but also by providing a versatile experience while assisting them on their journeys to becoming nurses that are culturally appropriate and sensitive.
